Today I started in on my chicken coop. I successfully used our friend Ron’s mitre saw to cut my 1″x4″ cedar boards. It’s been awhile since I did any carpentry projects on my own - much less used power tools by myself. It was fun. took me a while to get a system down for stretching the chicken wire, but I think it’s turned out pretty well so far.

I worked for about 7 hours today, and finished the floor frame and the first two wall panels - at least as far as the framing and chicken wire is concerned. The score for the day: chicken wire 2, me 0
