Summer Vacation: Days 4-7
Jul 26th, 2007 by Laura
Well it’s been a crazy couple of days! Mike has recovered with style. Turns out the thumb is not broken, so we got him a rubber dishwashing glove and he’s been taping it onto his arm to swim. Good thing that he has a laid back roll with the punches kind of personality, if it had been me it would’ve been a whole different dynamic.
The days have rushed by in a blur, we’re headed back down to the Twin Cities tomorrow for dinner with a good friend of mine and her husband. Then on the road headed back to Seattle Saturday morning. Here’s a recap in photos.
We’ve seen beautiful sunsets.

We spent time with family - my folks, my brothers and my cousins.

We did some kayak paddling.

We did some fishing - that’s my dad with all the walleye he caught Monday night.

We skiied, wakeboarded and surfed behind my brothers very cool boat.

And this afternoon it’s raining so we came into town to wash beach towels and check email.

It’s been a great trip, and hopefully tonight and tomorrow will just be the icing on the cake. I’ll post about our one local meal next.
Great pictures of the cabin at Camp Van Vac.
Those fish were awesome….Sorry you didn’t catch any Mike. We’ll have to do it again.
A couple of nights later Laura’s Uncle Bruce caught ~10 lbs. of walleye in the same spot.
Great tasting!!!
