		<description>Last year was the first time ever canning for me--and I had the same reaction: not as scary as I thought it would be. Hard work, definitely, but doable. We did peaches and pears last year. This year tomatoes and pears; no peaches, because my father-in-law's tree got hit by a late heavy snow.</description>
