Decking the halls
Dec 10th, 2007 by Laura
Yesterday it snowed our first dusting of the year. Not enough to be impressive, just enough to put me in the Christmas mood. We’d hung the wreath earlier last week (need to remember to get a picture of it as it’s gorgeous) and we’d bought a 7′ live tree the weekend after Thanksgiving.
So yesterday I brought in the tree and put it in it’s place. Then we dug around in the basement until we figured out where we stashed the lights and ornaments 2 years ago. No tree last year because Jake was in to everything.
Then I put on the lights and the beaded garland. And placed the ornaments and glass balls. And if I do say so myself, it’s the prettiest tree we’ve ever had. It’s small enough to fit perfectly in our house, but perfectly symmetrical and well proportioned.
Then of course I had to geek out and take some photos. This one, that’s been retouched with Photoshop, is going to be our Christmas card. Of course since I didn’t order them until this morning we’ll be lucky to get them out before New Years…

What a beautiful picture!
