It’s always when you’re finally ready to let something go that things go wrong. We’re seriously considering selling our house here in the city and moving a bit farther out. Serious enough that I’m leaving in a few minutes to go look at houses / property and we’re getting starting on the de-cluttering, cleaning and touching up needed to list the house.
And then this morning, as I’m getting ready to go to the farmer’s market and Mike’s leaving to go duck hunting in Moses Lake for the weekend, kaboom! Turns out Mike swiped our already precarious garage door with the boat on his way out. And it fell out of the track. Well it didn’t just fall out of the track it also ripped the frame out of the foundation.
So now it’s had all the track cut off of it and is nailed back into the hole. And we can’t get in or out of it. Hopefully we can get it replaced early next week, but of course all the reputable door contractors are shut down for the weekend.
Bummer. But I guess it’s better for kaboom to happen now rather than during an inspection by a prospective buyer.
