Laura,
Good to hear such a glowing review of Tilth! My husband and I have been dying to try it since we moved to the Big City. How has your Dark Days challenge been coming? All the best, and Happy New Year.

Nicole - strangely Mike is a huge fan of brussels sprouts but a serious hater of all things squash.

Chloe - I'll try, but they're not really the most urgent things happening around here right now. This time of year the hens aren't all that interesting to write about but are fun to hang out with. And hard to get photos of as we've locked them in the coop for the duration until we move. The gardens are done for the year, except for new mulch later this week so they're pretty boring too. Of course the dogs are endless entertainment year round so I'll do my best to get some photos up soon! Thanks for reading along!

Strangely, spaghetti squash is the one variety of squash I didn't have to fight my husband to try. I think he must have been in one of his rare 'open to new foods' moods. They happen once every decade.

I should have taken advantage of it and served him brussels sprouts [for the 20 billionth time - he flatly refuses to try them].
