You might not have even noticed if I did the redirect right, but Urban Hennery has moved to a new home this weekend. I used to do website management for a living and it’s been bugging me for a while not to have total control over the look, feel and functionality of my blog.
So I moved. And refreshed the color and layout of the blog a bit. Not too much as I did generally like it before. Just refreshed it to my kind of colors and a two-column layout.
Hopefully this wasn’t two disruptive to you. If you’re currently subscribed via RSS, you should update your feed to:
http://urbanhennery.com/feed/ for posts and http://urbanhennery.com/comments/feed/ for comments.
Please bear with me as I continue to tinker with the look, feel and navigation. Shouldn’t be too noticible, but you never know I might crash the server…

Ignoring the fact that I can’t fry an egg to save my life, take note of the little tiny yolk in the top of the pan. That’s the tiny egg from yesterday. It was, as I expected, 90% yolk. Of course I totally overcooked it – Mike’s the egg expert around here. But ate them anyway. And it was excellent!

Love the new layout!
You look maaaaaahvelous!
it does look swell!
I am a web developer by day (that sounds so comic bookish doesn’t it?) and agree that it would be nice to have more control over my site, but honestly, after messing with code all day,
I really don’t feel like dealing with it. Kudos to you though, the site looks great.
On a side note, if you want to make a really good fried egg, try this old restaurant trick. After cracking the egg into a hot lightly oiled pan; when you start to see the whites becoming cloudy, splash a little bit of water into the pan, and cover with a lid. The water will vaporize and steam the top of the eggs and let you either flip them more easily, or will cook the tops before the bottom have burned. Works every time for me.

Thanks all. It was kind of a fun project for decompressing at night. Although is seems to be loading a bit slowly so hopefully the hosting company is fixing that or I’ll have to move it again.
P~, I was a web manager, not developer. So I know just enough code to be dangerous. Since I’m not doing it anymore, it was a nice chance to play. And thanks for the fried egg trick – might have to try that. Usually Mike cooks them, but when he’s off duck hunting in the mornings this time of year I’m on my own…
[...] year yesterday. I fried it up with the holey egg for dinner tonight – yes I have finally learned to fry an egg – and they were [...]
