Whitefish - What a weekend
Mar 12th, 2008 by Laura
We had a wonderful weekend in Whitefish, or at least I think everyone had as nice a time as I did. We didn’t have any fresh snow except for a scant inch yesterday. So unusually for this group we spent a lot of time on the groomers. But going fast has it’s merits too.
The mountain is a true intermediate terrain haven. But at the same time, I can see how it would be absolutely amazing on a good powder day or a warm spring day as the moderate pitch of pretty much everything is perfect for linking smooth beautiful turns, over and over again.
Since we were skiing “old” snow, we took Monday off and went to visit Glacier National Park and Hungry Horse Dam. Both were great - Mike and I are going to try to plan a summer trip back for 2009. We event had lunch at the Inn in Essex - another place I’d love to go back to.
I’m working on the recap - but it’s going to be tomorrow night before it’s done. I’ll get it up as soon as I can. In the meantime, enjoy the photos from our trip!
