I was hoping to be writing tonight about our mega dog fence project, but unfortunately the concrete didn’t set fast enough for us to stretch wire today. So maybe next weekend… Until then the dogs are still stuck in the house with us when we’re homeand in the barn when we go to work. If Jake wasn’t a combination of still dumb puppy, territorial 105 lb. dog and wanderlust it might be different, but he is.
Instead, I took some photos of the property to show you what we’ve got. Pardon how dark they are, it’s been nothing but clouds and rain since we moved in.

This is the view from the middle of the lot, a clear shot to the Cascade Mountain range. You’re looking across the hen shack, our tractor shed and the neighbors’ pastures and barns.
Standing a bit farther back into the “back two” this is a view of the tractor shed, hen shack, barn (behind the trees) and the corner of the garage.
View from the same spot looking towards where the garage, house and pumphouse are clustered together.
From the same spot looking across the “back two”, the line of young trees marks the property line. This will eventually be pasture.
Closer view of the barn (3 stalls and hay loft) and the garage.

Very exciting! It’s cool to see it all in perspective.
Thanks for the tour, what a cute place, and a great view! I am envious of all your land…. I’m imagining you on a little Kubota tractor, preparing another garden plot, bringing hay to the critters, etc. ENJOY!
Awesome. I’m soooo jealous!
Thanks for the tour. It’s fun to get some perspective and know what you are writing about. I’m glad you have a place with land to build your dreams.
Lovely place. I am very envious!!
What a lovely little ranch you’ve got there. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the critters running all over it.
Thanks for giving us all a tour.
What’s that green stuff all over the ground? Oh, grass! Gah! I haven’t seen that in … four months!
What a gorgeous homestead! I can understand why you pounced when you had the chance :).
what a great spot you have! Your barn has given me a design idea for my own mini barn I am planning and hope to get underway this month. Back to the drawing board for me.
