I was at a small, local, independent bookstore the other day, and we started talking about book-ish things. The proprietor said that knowing one's region is very important in the book business, with which I agreed, and she said, specifically, that people here are more prone to buy gardening books. To which I replied that many people are starting gardens in the city, and she stated, "Maybe in Queens."

I'm tempted to share this article to her ;).

I'm inspired even more to make my suburban garden "fruitful" so that, maybe it can be an example to my neighbors of what's possible I'd love to see more garden and less lawn.
