<description>Thanks for the heads up Laura. I've been listening to different lectures and interviews with Mr. Pollan lately from iTunes U.

I have to say that the BEST thing we can do is get a seriously HUGE number of people growing their OWN food and buying what they don't grow themselves from local farm sources. The amount of redirected money would be enough to help keep these smaller, sustainable farms in business. I believe that is our first line of action.

Second, as Mr. Pollan pointed out, we have a LOT of work ahead of us the next few years. We MUST educate the public and MUST get our voices out there so when the time comes, the idea of something passing like this Farm Bill is just ludicrous.

I know, I'm preaching to the choir... but I've been out in our little garden all morning tending food and planting the next set of pole beans and lettuce. I'm a little fired up right now!! LOL

*ahem* (steps off soap box) I'll do more ranting and raving on our own blog... LOL

Thanks again for the heads up Laura!! Keep up the AWESOME work!!
