This is Jake’s hopeful face. The one that says “See how good I’m being? See how well I’m doing down and restraining myself from leaping up, putting my paws on your shoulders and washing your entire face?” Of course, he’s always better at it when there are treats involved.
I remember when we got him and he was a mere 25 pounds (at nine weeks!) and just and cute as could be (he’s still cute).

Now he’s easily as tall as I am and about as sweet a dog as you’ll find. For that I thought he deserved a photo on the blog tonight.
Although I do wish he wasn’t the same color as the floor in the kitchen because he would show up better.

I think with that look on his face, it’d be hard to miss your Jake, its hard to resist that
I can really see some of the grown dog in the puppy and some of that puppy still in the grown dog.
Ah hah! Not only is he doing a very good “down” but he is also doing an excellent job at camouflage! You really have a skilled dog there!
He’s beautiful! Thanks for making me smile.
