Welcome to the Hennery

If you’re coming by from the Herald, welcome! It was such fun to have Sarah and Mark here for an afternoon, we just wish they could have stayed for dinner!

Here are some helpful links to get you acquainted with the blog, and to help you get started eating locally.

Look around, make yourself at home, and then come back later. I’m working on a page listing my favorite local farms, sources and suppliers. Hopefully I’ll have it up this week (I intended to have it up today, but you know what they say about the best intentions…)

Due to a minor slip-up in my planning, i’ve run out of rhubarb! Is there someone w/availability information? thanks.

  • Just discovered your blog via the Herald. We just started gardening this last year. You have a lovely blog! I’ll be back to read more : ) Connie

  • Kathie :: I’m not sure where to find rhubarb this time of year. My guess is you can find local, frozen, rhubarb at any of the natural foods stores (Sno-Isle, Skagit, PCC) or maybe at Central Market.

Connie :: Welcome! Thanks for coming by!

  • It sounds divine! We had pheasant on our property 25 yrs ago, but with all the development and no one leaving any habitat….they are gone. All we have in our habitat now are pesky deer. But they make some pretty good stew too!
