The East:
Jenny (Daftly Smitten) used up her monster head of cabbage to make dishes that will feed them for weeks to come (some went in the freezer). First up was a rustic cabbage soup with carrots, rutabagas, onion, garlic and sweet Italian sausage. Next was a recipe for braised cabbage with apple and mustard.

Where has everyone gone? There are 3 weeks left in the challenge (it ends March 31) and hopefully we’ll finish strong and not just dwindle off until no one is left…

These meat and potato filled turnovers sported local and homegrown ground beef, side pork, potatoes, carrots, rutabaga, onion, celery and herbs with a greenhouse salad on the side. [...]
The East:
Jennie (Daftly Smitten) had an odd week due to all of the snow but still managed both Bittman’s polenta pancakes with local strawberry syrup (yum!) and Potatoes Anna. The potatoes also included apples, onions, mushrooms and a bit of cream. Hopefully life is returning to normal now.
It might look monochrome, but it was a [...]
